Nathalie Handal is one of the most significant poetic voices of the world. Born in Haiti in 1969, his family came from Palestine and Lebanon. It playwright, writer and editor. He has lived in Europe, USA, Caribbean, Latin America and the Arab world. His poems appear in numerous anthologies and magazines, and was broadcast on major media such as The New York Times, The San Francisco Chronicle, Reuters, Mail & Guardian, The Jordan Times and Il Piccolo. His books recent publications include: Strange Love and Horses (University of Pittsburgh Press, Honorable Mention at the Festival of the Book of San Francisco), and the historical anthology Language for a New Century: Contemporary Poetry Middle East, Asia and beyond (WW Norton). His work has been translated into over 15 languages \u200b\u200band has the following awards: Member of the Lannan Foundation, Honorable Mention Gift of Freedom Award, Fellow of AE Ventures, Agnes Lynch Contender, winner of the Literary Award and the Award Menada National Book "Pen Oakland Josephine Miles." Nathalie Handal currently writes the column " The city and the writer "in the prestigious journal Words Without Borders.
